Born in 2004 in Selangor, Malaysia, Ryan Chee discovered his passion for color at a young age. His early involvement in coloring activities revealed a natural talent for selecting and blending colors, resulting in vibrant, dynamic artworks. While he is generally reserved in verbal communication, Ryan expresses himself fluently through reading, writing, and, most importantly, his art.
Ryan's artistic journey revolves around his love for painting, particularly abstract art. His works are inspired by the places he visits, the relationships he forms, and the everyday moments he observes. Over time, he has honed his own distinctive abstract style through continuous practice and experimentation. His creative process draws influence from a wide range of experiences, including favorite films like Kung Fu Panda, wildlife documentaries on eagles, meaningful travel experiences, and treasured objects. These inspirations are reimagined and transformed into striking abstract compositions.
One of Ryan’s standout works, Mind Mosaic, earned the "Excellent Award" at the Tokyo ParaArt 2019 and was later exhibited at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, marking a significant achievement in his artistic career.
