Nur Nabihah binti Mohd Fazali, known as Iha Zaliza, was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic condition also called brittle bone disease. Throughout her life, Iha has endured more than 100 bone fractures and undergone 13 surgeries, beginning at the age of 7. Despite these immense physical challenges, her unwavering resilience and creative spirit have flourished.
At 19, Iha discovered a new way to express her experiences through art. What began as simple doodles soon evolved into intricate designs inspired by Malaysia’s traditional batik motifs, blending cultural heritage with personal storytelling. Her art reflects both her struggles and triumphs, capturing moments of fragility and strength with thoughtful strokes.
Over time, Iha’s artistic journey has continued to evolve, as she uses her work not only as an outlet for self-expression but also as a medium to share her unique perspective with the world. Her creativity and determination shine through every piece, demonstrating that art, like resilience, knows no limits.
